Jayne Huhtanen

Jayne S. Huhtanen’s vision is to simplify people’s lives so they can dare to be who they are meant to be. She dared to leave a great job after 26 years to follow her dream of staring her own business. Now she leverages her 35 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience to help professionals, entrepreneurs and companies optimize their performance, overcome obstacles, and achieve professional and personal growth. As a FocalPoint Certified Business and Executive Coach, Jayne speaks, delivers workshops, and provides coaching in Strategic and Business Leadership, Productivity, Effective Communication, Coaching & Development, Diversity and Effective Teamwork.

Jayne supports entrepreneurs through all stages of business development, whether they are exploring, launching, growing or expanding. And with career professionals, Jayne helps them discover the foundation of what they want out of their career, and how to get it.

A recent TEDx speaker on the topic of daring to live the life you want, Jayne has spoken for such organizations as RBC and Professional Engineers Ontario, and has been featured in articles on women and entrepreneurship in the Globe and Mail and the Financial Post. She mentors start-ups at McMaster University’s incubator, The Forge, and advocates for and supports women entrepreneurs and professionals as the TechConnex Leadership Skills facilitator and through previous work on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs.

A Chemical Engineering and Management graduate from McMaster University, Jayne spent 26 years at Procter & Gamble, leading business and organizational growth in Research & Development, Market Research, and Training & Development. Responsibilities scanned local (Canadian), regional (North American) and global initiatives. She contributed business-building strategies, led multi-functional initiative launches, led Diversity initiatives and developed and delivered global training programs.

In her spare time, Jayne enjoys watching hockey with her husband and children, reading classic literature and murder mysteries, and going camping and hiking.
